Thank you for a great meeting on Monday night and all the great treats! It is a good thing the holidays are almost here, I think I have had enough to eat a this point!
I don’t have a lot to add since we had our meeting on Monday evening. I visited with Mr. Weidner regarding the bid letting process and have resolved the issue. The communication that was received from the proposed contractor was out of bounds and Mr. Weider will be addressing that next week. I’ll include a copy of his letter in our next board packet. At that meeting, I will be asking the board to take action on the low bid that was tables on Monday evening.
I also want to remind you to let me know if you are interested in participating in the 2017 Day on the Hill advocacy event on January 24. As I shared on Monday evening, legislators are used to hearing from superintendents, but who they really need to hear from is you. Your voice as a board member is much more powerful as an advocate for public education than mine. If you are interested in attending this day, please let me know by Tuesday, December 27. I will have to register us for the event and pay some registration fees.
The picture I am sharing today is from the annual FFA breakfast that our chapter holds every year for the faculty and staff right before Christmas break. This annual tradition is one that we all look forward to each year and the food is outstanding! (There I go again with the food.)
Dr. Anthony D. Voss, Superintendent
