Joining forces: HHS soccer teams host camp
by sophomore Jenna Twait
The boys and girls high school soccer teams are planning to pass their skills to the next generations on Feb. 28.
This camp, which will run from 2-3:30 p.m. for PreK-Grade 2 and 2-4:30 p.m. for Grades 3-8, will focus on building skills and playing jamboree-style games in the competition gym.
Whether one is new to soccer or if one has been on a club team for a couple years, anyone can participate in the camp.
Registration forms for the $25 camp can be requested by emailing the boys coach, Sue Rink, at firstname.lastname@example.org by the Feb. 26 deadline. Those who register before Feb. 19 will get a free camp shirt with the paid registration.
The camp is not only a way to raise money for the HHS soccer teams but also a good opportunity for the next generation to build skills.
“In all, it will be a great way to continue the growth of the soccer community,” said the head coach for the girls team, Ashley Smiley.
