Students who are athletes or who just want to learn how to get fit, please join Head Strength Coach from UNI, Jed Smith, along with Assistant Strength coach Kane Thompson to discuss and emphasize on why we strength train! They will also demonstrate proper form of various Olympic lifts. The Strength Training Clinic will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd from 2-3:15pm.

Congrats to The Pirate Press staff/journalism students. They won 31 awards in this year’s state competition, are tied for first place in Class A newspapers, were named one of the top 15 student newspapers in the state, and have been named a finalist in the prestigious “All-Iowa News Team” competition for the second year in a row!
Also congrats to Abby Lashbrook, who got 2nd in the state for “Best Designer” in an all division competition. Abby competed against designers from schools of all sizes and came in a close second to an Iowa City designer. Grace Jorgensen got Honorable Mention in the photography division. Outstanding job, ladies!
