I am excited to be teaching 8th grade science at Hudson Middle School! I’ve been teaching for over 10 years, primarily as an elementary classroom teacher. I have taught in Wyoming, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Delaware, as well as Bulgaria.
I’m originally from Pennsylvania, but now I live in Waterloo with my wife Elizabeth and wonderful 4-year-old daughter, Ramona. I received a BS in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh & an MA in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Colorado. Prior to becoming an elementary school teacher, I was a Mental Health Therapist, working with children, adolescents, & families. Then I had the opportunity to be the coordinator of a university research lab studying ADHD and Learning Disabilities.
My passions are travelling and spending time in the mountains, either hiking, backpacking, biking, skiing, or climbing. I have climbed mountains in North America, South America, Europe, and New Zealand. I also really enjoy experiencing and learning about new places and cultures.
