Serving approximately 350 students, grades 7-12 are served in two separate attendance centers, with grades 7-8 served in the junior high addition on the north end of campus. Grades 9-12 attend attend at the high school building adjacent to the elementary school. Building on our Core Purpose of Creating Effective Learning Environments That Result in Success for All Students, our secondary program is designed to prepare students for their future, whether that includes entrance to the workforce, the military, or post secondary school.
This is accomplished through a diverse, robust, and rigorous academic program. In addition to traditional offerings that are part of a comprehensive high school, our students are exposed to a rich catalog of options that include four fully developed career and technical education strands, advanced placement courses, and opportunities for students to earn college credit through our concurrent enrollment program partnership with Hawkeye Community College and the University of Northern Iowa.
Consistently designated a high performing school by the Iowa Department of Education, Hudson High School has also been recognized as the #1 school in the Cedar Valley and #12 overall in the State of Iowa by US News and World Reports.
