RE: Friday Board Bulletin

Board Members:

We are close. Oh, so very close to having the new addition at the high school open. On Monday, we got the greenlight from the health department and on Tuesday the building inspector gave us occupancy. Right now, the hold up is a handful of miscellaneous items that are outstanding. The shop floor needs to be sealed, and the was something spilled that they are trying to remove. A final screen coat on the east side of the gym floor, cove base, etc. My current understanding is that the scoreboards are in route from St. Louis and the exterior signage is schedule for installation next week (famous last words, right?) Final cleaning is underway with our staff right now and I anticipate we'll begin occupying and using the space sometime next week.

Bus inspection was on Wednesday of this week and we have some issues that needed to be corrected on multiple units. Our mechanic is working on them right now and at this time we are sitting in pretty good shape.

Some congratulations are in order for our girls volleyball team who won their game on Wednesday night. They'll face Dike-New Hartford in the next round of post season play on Monday night in Dike. Our girls cross country team qualified for the state meet next Saturday, and the football team will begin their post season tonight when they travel to Manson-Northwest Webster for the first round of the playoffs!

Hard to believe we are in post season action already, but today is also another important milestone: the end of the first quarter! Have a great weekend!
